Fear: heights

You may not now this of me, but I am afraid of heights. Not all heights though, mostly those that are off of man-made objects (such as buildings, ladders, and indoor rock walls), but I generally enjoy being high up on the mountains and on cliffs and such, no fear there.

With this photo-manipulation, I tried to show the way that I see when I look down off a ladder. Really, it's hard to explain, and quite well described by the image. I see the ground, not far away, I know that the rungs of the ladder have to be x-distance apart to reach the ground, but they seem much farther away than they actually are and I end up getting "stuck" because I can't step far enough down to reach the next rung.

This was created for the Face Your Fears Contest for the Photo-manipulation week of project educate.
