So I got a new hat

Yes, you know me, always collecting the latest, greatest hat to wear. Well, I finally managed to collect one digitally. That's right, I'm a Community Volunteer now, which means my symbol is officially a ^hat!

A few things, then, to head off the questions I'm sure to get and some that I've already been asked.

What gallery are you a CV for?

• I'm a CV for no gallery. I'm actually a CV for dAmn, which means I help take care of the chats and forums. You'll see me around there, so don't hesitate to say hi! Being a CV for dAmn also means that I don't post DDs (Daily Deviations), so please, don't send me suggestions!

What does CV mean?

• CV stands for Community Volunteer. They are assigned to help users with a specific gallery or with dAmn, like me. Every CV will have a ^hat symbol to help you figure out who they are. They're good people to direct your questions to about galleries and communicating on dA. If you would like to apply to volunteer, or would like to see who is CV for a specific gallery, check this out.

Do/will you have any regular articles you post?

• I will continue to post the Dictionary Entries for dA-Dictionary alongside my friends who are helping to run the group. My intention is to keep those as weekly posts, though they won't all come from me. I currently don't have plans for any other regular articles.

You're online every time I log in, do you even work?

• As a matter of fact, I do have a job, several actually. (I just don't sleep.) I'm currently a Nanny to a lively 2 year old boy (often referred to as "my boy"). I'm also a regular babysitter for a year and a half old girl (referred to as "my girl"). Alongside that, I do freelance website building/maintaining for several local businesses. I am looking for more work though, because I'm not making enough money to meet my goals.

• I am trying to get a job as a nanny or au pair in Europe. So far the search has been fruitless. If you know someone who might be interested in hiring me, feel free to send me a note with some information!

I'm confused about your gender

• Feel free to make assumptions, I may correct you, eventually.

You have a "Stalk Me" widget on your profile page, but it doesn't list things like Skype or Facebook. Can I add you on platforms other than deviantART?

• I like to keep my private life private as much as possible. I understand the realities of the internet and realize that many of you will find me on my private platforms without my telling you where to look. Please understand that: I prefer to keep my skype contacts to people I know well enough to have regular conversations with; I prefer to keep my Facebook for people who I know in real life or have talked to for years on skype and other platforms; I rarely use twitter, but when I do, it's usually just to get news; and while you'll find me on other social media, I don't use it much. deviantART is my home online. You're welcome to try to convince me that you're friend enough for private conversations!

I want to ask a question that's personal/dA related/life related/anything, is that okay?

• Ask and ye shall receive. There are very few questions that I refues to answer if asked directly enough. Feel free to ask me anything. If your question is sensitive in nature, a note is better suited to an honest response than a comment or public chatroom.
